Le Blog du Curé de Fontenay-le-Comte n° 1.060 : Une année marquante

Each month, I ask you a question asking for an update on your life. This time, what is the year that was most prominent in your life and why?
To start thinking, I throw myself into the water: the year that marked me the most, it may be that I spent working as an agent of hospital services at the Centre Hospitalier Regional de Grenoble in the sixties.
Work hard physically, not always very appetizing: we described ourselves as "empty-potties! But constant contact, very rich, with patients and caregivers.
Far from the Vendee, in This cosmopolitan city of Grenoble, discover the Muslims, Jews, Protestants, Orthodox (Armenians or others), migrants, making contact with working-class life and labor unions, political parties, too, from all sides; contacts with sects; opening to tourism in the Alps, the world of culture, diversity in all its forms; mountain walks with other youth workers in the hospital, etc. ...
is probably there that I discovered that the single model Vendee, where everyone thinks it is he who has the truth, was not tenable and turned back the sense of history.
Indeed, as said Leopold Senghor, former President of the Republic of Senegal: "The future is mixing! Also, I am very grateful to these men and women of all backgrounds, all religions and all cultures, which then were able to get me out of my old photographs and open myself to the universal and the richness of diversity . Although I have much to do to be worthy of what they taught me their testimony always illuminates my way. But mostly, I felt that was the way of the Gospel to me and said.
And you, what is the year you the most? Even if you write not comment, why not talk with family or friends, taking time to reflect personally. Opportunity then to give thanks to God and to others!
