Le Blog du Curé de Fontenay-le-Comte n° 1.059 : Sacré Gainsbourg !
There was talk yesterday of the 20th anniversary of the death of Serge Gainsbourg. It reminded me of an old memory. The scene takes place in Tehran in August 1970: an eternity! With Andrew, priest now also in the Vendee, head of ecumenism in the diocese, we return to Kathmandu, backpack, school children by race, and we take a well deserved rest on the lawn of one of these wonderful gardens public that Iran has a secret (oh roses of Ispahan!).
Then comes a group of young people who engage in conversation with us, interrupting our nap, "Where are you from?" Where are you? Why you travel well? Do you like our country? " Sewing up, we bind friendships with these jeans and these young girls in mini-skirts (Yes! There, times have changed!), And they invite us home. Music in background! Surprise: they come and go in a loop, a French song which seems to please them well. This is the famous song by Serge Gainsbourg we all know: "I love you ... moi non plus", released in 1969.
Question (always in English): "This song is very well known, but we do not understand French and you do not know what she means, can you translate it?" And here we are, Andrew and me, trying to give them the meaning of this song a bit special, with many circumlocutions, you get the picture? "I go and I just ..." Sacred
Gainsbourg! Unknowingly, we took that day in a rather tricky ...
Young then invite us to stay dine and sleep at home but was going to happen? And, secondly, we needed to continue our journey: Europe was still far away. Thereafter, continuing our tour, Andrew and myself, we said between us everywhere, at all latitudes, the young are the same, and all they are looking for true love. Reminds us in his famous Serge Gainsbourg song "Javanese": "Life is not worth living without love!" You may also hummed: "But who are without love?" Have you
of humor? I leave you with a memorable reflection of Gainsbourg: "If Christ had died in an electric chair, all the little Christians would chair a little gold around his neck." Sacred
Gainsbourg! Sacred
Iran also, population overwhelmingly Muslim, so endearing, that will surely happen one day, too, to fully unlock!
The Spirit of God is not also present over there than here?
