At this time of economic crisis, social and spiritual, it is everyday that we see around us people depressed, desperate shot by what happens to them. Some are able to extract a little, with the support of those around them, their families or their friends. Others remain in pain and isolation. This is an attempt to answer such a situation the parish council has proposed an initiative to give a little back on track people in difficulty.
Yesterday evening, a dozen people were left to imagine a "morning-listening" that would aim to link people, who no longer know who to contact to get by, with volunteer professionals ready to listen. So are invited to spend some time with this service, a doctor, social worker, a marriage counselor, a lawyer, qualified persons with respect to job search, welcoming new immigrants and single people, relationships between parents and children, the future youth dependency and old age, two priests, a notary, etc. ... Saturday, March 26 from 9.30am to 12pm, at Notre-Dame de Fontenay-le-Comte, where small spaces meetings will be arranged quite simple. Why a church? Because it is a process of another order than going to a public utility, in this sacred place, everyone will understand that this is a gesture, to live for believers under the gaze of God.
This is not to compete with existing services but to provide additional lighting in a climate of listening and gratuity. Everyone will be informed of this initiative through the press, leaflets presented by various charities, the site and the ad leaves the parish.
This was during Lent, it will be offered to every Christian to spot him around a troubled person, and join hands to enable him to meet with a professional and inform him of his problem, for free, for a quarter an hour.
It is not enough to make beautiful prayers of the poor, in fact, or rely on the work of charities or just write a check! It is at each of us to reach out to them, fraternally!
