Le Blog du Curé de Fontenay-le-Comte No. 1053: "I have spoken ill of this man!" The Blog of Pastor
Every day is that despite our great professions of faith and brotherhood of our righteous indignation about everything and nothing, yet we allow ourselves go blithely to denigrate those whose mug or ways of doing things does not come back! And myself on this, I am no better than anyone else!
In this connection, the story that was narrated in a meeting yesterday by a priest at the attentive mind, me deeply. This happened after the burial of a man who, for various reasons, was rather misunderstood and criticized. At the end of the ceremony, his wife, in a few words, very thoughtful and composed, expressed their feelings to both in relation to this misunderstanding. The assistance was very touched and, on leaving the church, one participant told the priest: "We'll have to confess that I am!" "Oh?" replied the priest, interrogative. "Yes, because I am among those who criticized this gentleman; I also have spoken ill of him. But, after hearing his wife, I realize what I did, and I very sorry! "
Must we wait until people die so that they stop slandering them? And if today there today (for starters), we stopped all criticism, even founded, anyone?
What a beauty! What a joy while on earth, and the kingdom of heaven! Finally
again become worthy to wear the beautiful name of "brothers" and "Christians"!
"He who speaks evil of his brother, speaks evil of the law of love .(...) Who art thou, to judge your neighbor?" (Jacques 4/11-12)
